Product description
The Van Laeck Butterbean is built like a tank and sounds like a tank. A pair of 12AX7’s in front of a pair of 6L6 powertubes deliver about 28 Watss of pure sonic goodness. The schematic is based on the quintessential tweed amp from the 50s: the 5E3. To polish the rather unforgiving character of this schematic, especially it’s low end, we introduced a few tweaks amongst which the biasing scheme of the powertubes. The result is an amp that, alike a it’s ancestor, stays clean until somewhere between 9 and 12 oçlock on the dial. After that it emerges into a heavenly compression that goes all the way into Marshally territories. And it does all of this without the flubby low end of the orginal which is not everyone’s cup of tea.
The Channel switch selects either the Bright channel on it’s own or the Bright plus the Normal channel together. The latter resembles the Jumper cable that most people use on the original.
The Butterbean comes with a lifelong warranty on manufacturing defects. We strongly advise the use of an attenuator to protect ears and relationships...

Free shipping of Custom Shop guitars in the BeNeLux. For all other countries you will see the shipping costs when filling in your full address in the ordering menu. When encountering an error while filling in your shipping information, please contact us for the options. You will be charged no extra costs against loss or damage as all of our outgoing packages are fully insured (unless agreed otherwise).
Orders outside of the EU will be sent with an accurate invoice. You can deduct the VAT on your purchase by dividing the VAT holding price by 1.21.
