Product description

The Van Laeck Napolean Reverb is a blend of different stages in guitar amplifier history. The basic schematic roots in the 50’s. Because, quite frankly, it doesn’t get much better than that. The ingredients are: 2x12AX7 pre-amp tubes, 2x6V6 power amp tubes, 5AR4/GZ34 Tube Rectifier, Cathode Bias, Paraphrase Inverter, No negative feedback, 1 Volume, 1 Tone.

What makes this amp stand out from the masses though is it’s unique transformerless reverb. Many of the greats in amplifier history -Ampeg, Magnatone to name a few- have used this concept but it never made it to the masses. We believe that that is not really justified. An almost plate like reverb that feels awesome ‘under the fingers’ and delivers a lo-fi, vintage character that is quite unique.

The EQ switch selects an American voicing or a Britisch voicing. The first emphasizes the low-mids where the latter puts more focus on the high mids. Especially in overdrive this produces a distinctly different voice.

The Napolean Reverb comes with a lifelong warranty on manufacturing defects.
