“ Over the past decades the boutique amp market has been flooded with clones and interpretations of Dumble’s amp designs. Low priced copies from the far East and highly expensive recreations from the Far west. All want to have a go at the supposed magic as used on stage by our heroes: SRV, Robben F, Larry C and more recently Joe B and John M.
The Overdrive Special is for sure the most iconic amp in Dumble’s staple. A clean and a drive channel with an optional FET boost to go in front of it. Pristine cleans or stacked, thick gains.
Over the years the amp came in many different voicings. GuitarKing has commissioned this built of the late 70’s voicing. If compared to the late 80’s voicing this one could be described as more aggressive, upfront and dynamic. Closer to the classic Fender circuits where it all started. For ease of convenience it comes with a foot switchable FET boost and PreAmp Boost. The first one is an adjustable clean boost to drive the first pre-amp stage, the latter switch defeats the tonestack for raw, uncompromised tone.
This amp is hand built in the Netherlands and only uses high grade US and EU-made components. On essential parts of the circuit, NOS components have been used in an attempt to approach the magic…

Free shipping of Custom Shop guitars in the BeNeLux. For all other countries you will see the shipping costs when filling in your full address in the ordering menu. When encountering an error while filling in your shipping information, please contact us for the options. You will be charged no extra costs against loss or damage as all of our outgoing packages are fully insured (unless agreed otherwise).
Orders outside of the EU will be sent with an accurate invoice. You can deduct the VAT on your purchase by dividing the VAT holding price by 1.21.
