Product description

This beautiful reissue of a Nocaster (the 1951 predecessor of the Telecaster) is a limited edition model, made by the Fender Custom Shop to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Relic Stratocaster and Nocaster.

It has a relic fingerboard, heavy fret ghosting, heavy relic neck back, rolled fingerboard edges, and a cigarette burn on headstock that gives it that nice worn, used look. It has a special engraving on the neckplate that says "20th Anniversary Relic 1995-2015".

Its sorted-for-lightweight ash body is finished in fiesta red, which is pretty rare for this model. The ageing of the finish has been done in different levels for the top and the back of the body: the top and sides have a used-but-not abused Journeyman relic, and the back has a heavy relic with some serious dinging and wear.

The guitar has a 5/4 quartersawn neck made of a solid piece of maple, and it has a vintage correct Nocaster "U"-shape. The radius of the neck is a litte wider than vintage: the comfortable 9,5" make bending strings really easy.

The guitar is equipped with handwound 51 Nocaster pickups, completing its twangy-and-balanced early Telecaster response.

Needless to say, the guitar for sale is the exact instrument that is on the picture. Please let us know if you have any questions about it or need additional photo's of specific details on the guitar. We'll be happy to help.
