Product description

A beautiful 1961 Stratocaster reissue, featuring a roasted maple neck, handwound pickups and a stunning Aged Magenta Sparkle laquer finish.

This guitar was made as a limited run for the occasion of the 2020 winter NAMM (W20 Ltd). It features slightly modified vintage-inspired specs.

The 2-piece alder body is period correct for the early sixties, however the Aged Magenta Color is rare as hen's teeth. The quarter sawn maple neck has a traditional '60s shape, but with a fingerboard radius of 9.5", which is most common on more recent Fender guitars, because it is easier to play when bending notes.

The roasting of the maple neck is a relatively new process. It decreases the weight of the wood and enhances its resonating qualities, as well as a darkening of its color. Because the wood is quartersawn as well, expect a very stiff and stable neck, with a responsive and resonant feel.

The pickups are handwound Texas Specials, one of Fender's most popular pickups. They are overwound single coil Strat pickups that are characterized by their midrange chirp, crystalline highs and tight bass. Because of their dynamic response and vintage-inspired warm tone, the are a great match with this beatiful guitar.

A brown Fender Custom Shop case is included, also containing the certificate, strap, bridge cover, vibrato bar and some other accesories.
